An ingenious application
In the SIRSI SA research laboratories, such was the company name in the 1930s, the operators often used the Pinzetta Hoffmann.
It is a small tool to be inserted in rubber tubes, very useful for dosing or stopping fluids.
Indispensable in emergencies, it is still used in laboratories.
It was decided to create something similar for industrial use and to solve the difficulties encountered in conveying aggressive liquids.
Thus was born a prototype of a sleeve valve that was produced in series only after the war.
