SHOTPEENING MACHINES FOR WORK ROLLS (COLD ROLLING MILL)

These special units are suitable for the shotpeening of work rolls in order to renew their roughness.

Nevertheless the steel work rolls have a very high level of hardness, their surface must be frequently shotpeened for recovering the necessary hardness and grip.

After the shotpeening, the renewed work rolls are reused in the rolling mill process.

The shotpeening operation must be carefully performed with a specific shot media and a centrifugal turbine at variable speed.

The cylinder is loaded on a special motorised boogie which automatically provides to the longitudinal movement “ahead – back” into the blast cabin and to the rotation of the same cylinder on its axis .

In this way the cylinder is shotpeened completely and uniformely on its whole surface.

The equipment mainly consists in :

• Aphonic blast cabin with front door manually or pneumatically controlled with inner wearproof protection
• N. 1 centrifugal turbine – motor power 22 ÷ 30 Kw
• Turbine inverter in order to adjust the shot speed
• Automatic shot recovering and cleaning system
• Automatic special motorised boogie
• Vibratory screen with double selection in order to use the proper required blast media.
• PLC and touch screen for cycle control
